Chino y Nacho

If you don´t know who they are, get to know them. They are one of Latin America´s big hits right now. A male pop duo from Venezuela. They had one of the biggest hits of last year, "Mi Niña Bonita" and have a bunch of other popular songs out.

And I got to see them in concert in Managua!

Here´s how it went down:

My friend Kristen read that they were coming to Managua and looked up how to get tickets. Turns out you could only buy tickets at Tip Top in Managua. (Tip Top is a fast food restaurant like McDonalds, but because even fast food prices are expensive for people here, it´s actually considered a nicer restaurant) Since we live 3 hours away, I tried to buy tickets 2 weeks ahead of time when I was in Managua for a medical appointment. However, only certain TipTops were selling tickets, so I was unsuccessful. Fortunately, I had arranged for a med appointment the day before the concert and tried at a different location and was successful. When I asked where the concert was going to be, the woman told me at TGI Fridays in the lot. And yes, it was in the empty in between Managua´s TGI Fridays restaurant and Pharoah´s Casino.

Kristen and I bought the cheapest ticket option, so we had spots farther away from the stage, but still with a great view. The only seating was for the Platinum tickets which cost $40(our tickets cost under $15 each). But when Chino y Nacho finally came out, no one wanted to sit anyway.

They were really great performers, really energetic and really catered to their mostly female audience. Both by sending empowering messages to women and thrusting their pelvises a lot during the performance. At the end, to join them, one of their collaborators on a few songs, El Potro Alvarez, came out to join them which was a fun surprise. And to close the night, they all took off their shirts :)

Check them out! They are super fun. The songs I know are Niña Bonita, Lo Que No Sabes Tu, Se Apagó La Llama, Bla Bla Bla, and Tu Angelito
